This is a recording of one of the concurrent sessions from the AASW National Symposium 2015. The session was entitled "Creating collectively consenting communities".

Working with issues of consent for individuals is a skill that Social Workers are familiar with. This

workshop will address questions such as:

• How are these skills similar and different when you are working with communities to make policy and law decisions?
• How can one create socially just communities by addressing issues of consent in the population?
• How can leaders lead by consent? The workshop will also present the model that the presenter currently uses when consulting with communities
